The soprano cornet is a brass instrument that is very similar to the standard B♭ cornet. It is a transposing instrument in E♭, pitched higher than the standard B♭ cornet.[3]
One soprano cornet is usually seen in brass bands and silver bands and can often be found playing lead or descant parts in ensembles.
